Full Job Description

The Senior AWS DevOps engineer is a developer with expertise in building and managing large scale, performant, cloud-based architectures. The role will require someone who is a thought leader and will partner with our product and technology teams to design and develop processes and systems.

 

The candidate should be high energy, familiar with Agile development principles, a good communicator, and willing to use innovative and cutting-edge technologies to build world class software for the Health IT

sector.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and display the company values
  • Provide technical strategy and solutions that follow AWS architectural best practices
  • Design, develop, document, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud artifacts
  • Be a part of a cross-functional project team to deliver software projects that meet stakeholders’ & customers’ expectations
  • Think outside-the-box to find new and innovative ways to solve complex data problems.
  • Multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and display the company values

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Expert level knowledge with AWS design, architecture, security, and services (EC2, S3, Event Bridge, API Gateway, IAM, others)
  • Monitor and manage live production and dev environments, ensuring system availability, scalability, and cost optimization
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and building of code pipelines.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, TerraForm, similar)
  • AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps certification not required but preferred (or like work experience/certifications)
  • Familiar with development and communication tools (Atlassian suite preferable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects in-flight at a given time.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, innovative, attention to details
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
