Full Job Description

The software development manager is responsible for managing a team of software engineers. The role will be responsible for recruiting, scaling, and retaining top talent and making sure that the engineers are properly equipped to perform the tasks needed by the company.


The candidate should be high energy, familiar with Agile development principles, a good communicator, and willing to use innovative and exciting ways to motivate, encourage and build the team.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and display the company values
  • Meet with team members individually to access skills, performance, needs and address issues as they arise.
  • Build teams and retain top talent as needed by the company requirements.
  • Take lead on initiatives such as personal development, training exercises to skill-up individuals and team building activities
  • Schedule and perform periodic reviews and provide clear and consistent feedback based on company needs while maintaining visibility into company vision and values
  • Meet and update senior management and present necessary information that will allow to make decisions on team planning and roadmap.
  • Foster an open environment of mutual support and engineering effectiveness



  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and growing individuals on the development teams.
  • Background in software development, preferably with cloud-based SaaS applications
  • Familiar with development and communication tools (Atlassian suite and GitLab preferable)
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, innovative, attention to details
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent working experience preferred
  • 5+ years working on a development team
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience
