Group BI Manager

Overview

 

This role is an in-office/ON SITE role for our Atlanta client in the Underwood Hills area.

 

You must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder living in the Atlanta area and be able to work a minimum 4 days in the office.

 

You will work with internal teams to gather and document requirements for Business Intelligence solutions.

 

You will then work with an outsource development partner to develop those solutions.

 

Previous experience managing outsourced vendor software/BI development solutions is CRUCIAL and REQUIRED.

 

You will project manage the delivery, implementation, on-going enhancements and support of those programs.

 

This is a combination of Project Management, Solution Delivery and Business Analysts/Requirements gathering and documenting of those solutions.

Reports to: Director of Group Applications

 

  • Working both independently and as part of a bigger IT team, provide BI solutions to support decision making across multiple global regions.
  • That includes data warehousing, report writing, and facilitation of discussions around the data.
  • Help business colleagues translate loose requirements into real data, work with the wider organization and regional BI resources to help formulate requirements.
  • Work alongside 3rd parties to help transform requirements from the wider organization into actionable data and reports.
  • Provide guidance and best practice methods to colleagues in different business functions around report writing in different BI tools.
  • Take complete ownership over incident resolution in BI, closely align with the wider group IT team to ensure availability of BI systems.
  • Act as the ultimate point of contact for any system availability queries in the BI technology space.
  • Establish ways of working within BI for capturing ad-hoc requests, establish a clear way to report on workload and BI activities.

  • Strong 3rd party vendor relationship management skills, ability to deliver initiatives by working hand-in-hand with consulting partners.
  • Functional leadership skills, capability to own a key IT function.
  • Solid understanding of BI technology and methodologies, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
  • Capability to work with non-technical colleagues and varying seniority of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong grasp of data manipulation, visualization, and presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing and coordinating with teams across multiple global regions.
  • Experience with BI tools, both at visualization and a data warehouse level.
  • SAP’s data analytics cloud and Datasphere experience preferred.
  • Experience delivering projects involving stakeholders from multiple business functions.
  • Experience in requirement analysis, gap analysis and preparation of functional and non-functional software requirements
