Overview

 

We're recruting for a REMOTE FULLTIME Assistant Director, IT, Supply Chain role for our local healthare client.

 

Salary at $125k

 

The Assistant Director, IT, Supply Chain supports the Supply Chain Line of Business and Service Level Agreements.

  • Responsible for IT Supply Chain Technology systems and services, business continuity and technology improvement plans. 
  • Leads the configuration, development and change of supply chain information systems and application programs and identifies opportunities to collaborate with operations to standardize data and processes.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of current systems and ensures development, enhancement and standardization align with enterprise goals.
  • Manages a technical team that is responsible for application, interface and integration issues, works with IT and business partners to streamline enterprise-wide inventory and procurement activities and to influence business strategies, improve processes, and support identification of workflow and cost savings opportunities.

 

There are 2 direct reports for this role.

 

You will also need to have ERP integration/Implementation skills, IT project Managment, along with some ERP/Database support/setup

 

Supply Chain Oversight:

  • Secondary accountable leader for Supply Chain
  • Provides information systems analysis and area expertise required to support the enterprise SCM/ERP Enterprise Applications. Evaluates SCM Enhancement requests for feasibility and scope and standardization opportunities.
  • Collaborates with operations and peers to evaluate, plan and deploy the use of technology and related processes. Serves as supply chain subject matter technology expert, and decision maker.
  • Creates and supports presentation materials and presentations.
  • Acts as an accountable leader for SCM projects, and non-PPO projects. Directs cross functional Supply Chain Operational teams, and is responsible for managing technical activities, dependencies, dates/time frames, resource requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Ensures project activities and all critical implementation criteria are met and provides status reports to PPO, medical center, affiliates, operational business owners, and system steering committees.
  • Provides direction to technical and application personnel in handling escalations or more complex requests for technical support, including SCM applications, clinical and financial interfaces, configuration and security administration.
  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements in systems, processes or products to enhance performance of level area.
  • Problems faced are moderately complex to complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.

 

 

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT:

  • Creates and fosters relationships with relevant clinical, finance, procurement, supply chain, operational team and IT Teams
  • Works with IT Service Management teams to develop end-to-end change, incident, and problem management processes. Ensures that all incidents are handled in a timely and appropriate manner and acts as a primary point of escalation during critical incidents.
  • Communicates with stakeholders within and outside of own area and may include external communications external to the department.
  • Influences others on policies, practices, and procedures within area of expertise.

 

TEAM LEADERSHIP:

  • Manage a midsize team of technical analysts who support supply chain applications, interfaces and integrations in support of execution technology operations and projects, including affiliates across the region.
  • Lead career development efforts for direct reports and the full Supply Chain IT Provide coaching/mentoring to standardize best practices across all team activities.
  • Champion for continuous improvement as demonstrated by personal example.
  • Leads a high-performance Supply Chain IT team, establishing clear goals, opportunities and career trajectories for team members assigned.
  • Allocates and assigns personnel and technical resources to meet enterprise needs.
  • Typically has hiring, firing, promotion, performance and reward authority with manager review and approval

 

BUDGET OVERSIGHT:

  • Responsible for one or more elements of an operating or capital program budget.
  • Plans, manages, and participates in relevant IT capital and operating budgeting processes.
  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of project resources in relation to budget plan parameters and rate of spend for use in decision making and influence in assigned area and across IT.

 

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Required

  • Experience in an academic medical center or health-system

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 3 years
